The Pursuit of Enhancement Podcast Episode 27

LISTEN ON Apple Podcasts

Welcome to Episode 27 of  The Pursuit of Enhancement Podcast.

My name is Peter Ledwidge and I am your host.

Each week I sit down to talk in-depth with guests that push the boundaries of conventional living, driven by the singular pursuit of being on an unrelenting quest to continually expand the horizons of their body, mind and spirit.

The aim is to learn more about them and from them; their story, the work they are doing, the highs, the lows, the triumphs, the heartaches and everything in between.

The hope is that these conversations might spark something within you that gives you cause for self-reflection, inspires you to embark on your own journey of self-discovery or gives you the courage to take a chance and go after your goals.

Tony Riddle

ep 27 pt2.1This week is Part 2 of my conversation Tony Riddle; The natural Lifestylist.

If you missed part 1 make sure to go back and give that a listen when you’ve finished today’s episode.

A Lifetime

Tony Riddle has spent the last 18 years developing and refining a robust way of life based on the principals of a natural lifestyle. His practice is based around bringing nature back into our lives so that we can meet our biological needs without having to take our focus off our current lifestyle. By making changes to our environment, whether that be at work or at home we can help to alleviate many of the factors which keep us tired, stressed and worn out.

This Week

We start today’s episode by talking Some more about Running biomechanics and barefoot running, if you’ve wanted to start running or are a runner and getting injured and want to understand more you will find this fascinating. We also discuss the steps to be able to perform a barefooted, hunter-gatherer squat.ep 27 pt 2.2

We discuss rewilding; what it means and involves from Tony’s perspective, and also what it means in a real life sense without having to go and live in a cave.

We talk about how we can find the balance of the pursuit of the material and the pursuit of the spiritual, that there can be a happy medium without getting to lost in either.

We look at the impact of meeting our biological needs on modern conditions of anxiety, depression, obesity, and addiction

And towards the end we touch on His parenting methods and philosophies as it pertains to the areas of natural living and being in tune with biological norms, schooling theories and unschooling.

Another fascinating episode in store so let’s jump right in to part 2 with Tony Riddle.

And that brings us to the end of today’s episode.

I had a ball chatting to Tony, it really helped to cement in my mind some of the areas of my life that I am currently choosing to focus on. Did it inspire anything for you? Will you look into embarking on your own journey of rewilding? What can you do to enhance your life and bring in more biological norms? Could it be spending the evening sitting on the floor instead of on the couch? Could it be turning of screens and dimming the lights an hour before bed? Or perhaps 20 mins of walking barefoot on the grass? Let me know by leaving a comment.

Leave a comment and let me know what stood out for you. If you’d like to take it one step further and could take the time to write a review that would be immensely helpful.
