So often we spend too much time listening to the story that we tell ourselves about ourselves and allow it to unwittingly govern our behaviour. Once we understand that we ourselves can change we can then start to write a new narrative about ourselves and set a new course for our future.
What story are you telling yourself?
So often we spend too much time listening to the story that we tell ourselves about ourselves and allow it to unwittingly govern our behaviour. We say only if things were different, someone did this or this happened or didn’t happen, then things would be better.
We need to let go of our opinion of how other people, places and things OUGHT to be. If you make your happiness contingent on them behaving in a certain way, game over.
Once we Accept that the world is the way it is but understand that we ourselves can change, game on.
We have to petition the universe, our inner most selves, through meditation, to adjust the view that my feelings have a meaningful bearing on the external world. We can then rewrite our past, change our narrative, reprogram ourselves. Who we are is the result of the story we tell ourselves, about ourselves, it’s time to start writing a new story.
